Enjoy this gentle treatment, which effectively removes waste fluid from the body and supports the efficient functioning of your immune system.
Our senior massage therapists are extensively trained and certified in lymphatic drainage methods such as light stroking across the lymph nodes to stimulate the natural contractions of your lymphatic system.
This treatment is, without a doubt, a wellness bonus you will love!
How Does It Work?
The Farida Studio Signature Lymphatic Drainage Treatment begins with dry brushing to activate the lymphatic system.
Then, using light pressure and long rhythmic strokes, your therapist will target specific areas to engage your body’s natural drainage processes.
This technique helps the lymph fluid move and by doing so, removes and filters toxins that are stored in the body over time.
Lymphatic drainage can feel like a very gentle massage, but this treatment focuses only on your lymphatic system and is not intended to treat or relieve muscle or joint pain.

How should I prepare before my treatment?
We recommend that you drink plenty of water leading up to and after the treatment. Also, we require that no laser, Botox, or wax treatments be done 24 hours prior to or after the treatment.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive at least ten minutes before the start time of your appointment so that you have plenty of time to fill out our pre-treatment form.
Should I do anything after my lymphatic drainage treatment?
We recommend remaining hydrated by drinking lots of water. In addition, please avoid drinking caffeine, alcoholic beverages, or eating heavy meals for 6 hours post treatment.
Are lymphatic drainage treatments considered a type of massage?
Although massage and lymphatic drainage are both performed manually, they are not the same type of treatment. Massages focus on the muscles and joints to alleviate pain, whereas lymphatic drainage focuses on the lymphatic system, to re-route lymph flow around blocked areas into more centrally located, healthy areas.
Who would benefit from lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic Drainage is a treatment appropriate for anyone seeking a healthy cleanse as part of an overall wellness regimen.
Additionally, there are several conditions that may cause excess fluid retention in the body due to congestion in the lymphatic system, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic venous insufficiency, lipedema, and certain cancers. People who have these conditions may benefit from lymphatic drainage treatments and should seek the advice of their medical provider.
Who should not get lymphatic drainage treatment?
Lymphatic drainage is not recommended for anyone who is afflicted with acute inflammation of any kind, malignant tumors, thrombosis or major heart issues. People with diabetes should be aware that lymphatic drainage may affect blood sugar levels.
Always consult your healthcare professional before engaging in any remedial therapy.
With so much detox happening in the body, do you feel sick after the treatment?
Generally, lymphatic drainage is well tolerated by most people, however, some people may be extra sensitive to this treatment and may experience mild nausea and/or headache. To minimize any discomfort, we recommend drinking plenty of water before and after your treatment.
How many treatments do you recommend per month?
Our treatments are always customized to best suit your needs since everyone’s body reacts to the treatment differently. Therefore, if you are looking for regular lymphatic detoxing then we recommend once or twice a month. After your first session, our therapists can give you a more customized treatment plan.
How long do the effects of the lymphatic drainage last?
Everyone’s body reacts to the treatments differently. If you keep up with a healthy lifestyle, which includes a clean diet, regular exercise, and have a steady metabolism, the effects of the lymphatic drainage treatment can last up to 10 days.
Can I have this treatment if I have an injury?
Yes. This treatment does not cause any injury or harm to an injured area. Focus would be given to areas of swelling due to injury. Our treatments focus on areas of concern for a 50-minute service, and the full body during our 80-minute services. Please discuss any injuries with your massage therapist prior to your treatment.
